Abstract
The Add/Alter Flight Simulator Facility for KC-46A project provides for the renovation and 804 square foot expansion of a 7,749 square foot facility. The project is one of a multitude of projects underway at Pease Air National Guard Base, and was selected for the capstone as the completion date would approximately coincide with conclusion of the 20.500.12975/13 program. The facility will house full-motion military aircraft simulators and associated administrative and part-task-training areas. Installation of the simulator systems is expected to occur in the completed facility later in 2017, allowing for aircrews to train to operate the new KC-46 Pegasus air-refueling tanker. While much of the project management process is governed by military regulations, the use of a commercial Software-as-a-Service project management / collaboration system proved invaluable on the project.
