Description
Everett B. Sackett writes back to Herbert Murayama about whether the University of New Hampshire and the surrounding community would be welcoming to Japanese American students. Sackett writes that it would be "unwise" for the University in its rural setting to admit Japanese American students. He believed any group of Japanese American students would experience exclusion of others at the University and it would create an "unpleasant" environment not conducive to learning.
