Relationship of Oxidant Status to Acute Aerobic Exercise Recovery Blood Pressure in African Americans
Abstract
The capacity to vasodilate during and following exercise is partly mediated by the endothelium, and oxidative stress influences endothelial function.
PURPOSE: To determine if African American (AA) normotensives differ from pre-hypertensives and stage-1 hypertensives in their change in blood pressure (BP) following acute aerobic exercise (AcAEX).
