Abstract
Sociologists appear in agreement that sex is a primary role allocator in our society, or, in the perspective of Hughes (1945), sex is a master status. Parsons and Bales (1955) have implicity built upon this in the formulation of their Sex Role Differentiation Theory in which role sets for male.
