Description or Abstract
Interest in BL405 (blue light) disinfection technologies has increased due to the prevalence of multidrug resistant organisms (MDROs), healthcare associated infections (HAIs) and the recent COVID-19 pandemic. This wavelength is particularly attractive as it is much less harmful to human health, especially the skin or eyes, therefore can be used continuously with human exposure. The literature has predominately covered bacterial disinfection with this wavelength, data on viral inactivation with BL405 technologies is limited.
