Abstract

As the capability of easily available consumer level drones continues to improve at a rapid pace, researchers and resource managers are finding unique and creative ways to utilize these systems to meet their project requirements. As the ease-of-use increases and costs decrease, more drones are being deployed in the marine environment and off ships and small boats for a variety of environmental research and monitoring requirements.
