Presenter Bio

John Weber has worked in the environmental field for thirteen years, focusing on coastal and ocean management. As the Ocean Planning Director for NROC, he provides strategic direction for implementing ocean planning. He previously served as the Ocean Program Manager for the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management, where he managed the development and implementation of the Massachusetts Ocean Management Plan, completed in 2009. John’s experience also includes review of urban waterfront, dredging, coastal erosion, and wetland restoration projects. He has a B.S. in Coastal Geology from Long Island University and an M.S. in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University.
