Description
1958. Dress pumps. Blue satin with a vamp (toe) coming to a moderate oval point in front and extending in back to the middle of the arch of the foot. The quarters (backs) wrap all the way around the throat (opening) of the shoe from a center back seam, forming a very narrow band at the top of the vamp. All edges are bound with twill tape. The continuous leather sole incorporates a fabric-covered straight-sided French/Louis/spike heel. The shoes have been dyed after purchase, with some of the dye staining the sole, and a silver-toned teardrop-shaped rhinestone shoe clip has been added to the throat of each shoe, 2.86 cm / 1.125 in. long and 1.6 cm / 0.625 in. at the widest point. Professionally made. Machine-sewn.
