Abstract
Peter Pan’s Mr. Darling often bragged that when “stocks were up, shares were down.” So too policy makers boast that cutting federal healthcare dollars will magically lower healthcare costs – the opposite is true. The slow and significant reductions in spending on publicly funded healthcare insurance will result in painful increases in healthcare costs for many in NH, exacerbating the affordability crisis for patients, employers and families. We best get ready, but why and how?
