Abstract
A tool for researchers to use when preparing the cover letter to be included in applications submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for due dates on or after 5/25/16, this template incorporates the most recent information from the NIH guidance documents as well as advice from the NIH Office of Extramural Research and various NIH Institutes and Centers.
NOTE: Preferences for assignment and review are now submitted using the PHS Assignment Request Form included in the application package.
