Abstract:

This capstone project explores the complexities of generational diversity within military leadership. Focusing mainly on the challenges and opportunities presented. Through a comprehensive literature review, the project examines the distinct characteristics, values, and communication styles of different generations in the military. By identifying potential areas of tension and teamwork, the project aims to provide insights for fostering cohesion, enhancing collaboration, and optimizing performance across generations within military leadership. The findings will help contribute to a deeper understanding of generational dynamics in the military and provide informative strategies for effective leadership development and succession planning.

Biography:

As a dedicated Air Force medic with a passion for service, Cassandra Wachowiak has served her country for five years while embodying a commitment to saving lives and promoting well-being on the front lines. She has a strong sense of family values, as she finds balance in her relationships and fosters a supportive home in Milton, NH. Driven by an adventurous spirit, Cassandra takes on every opportunity to explore new cultures and destinations to enrich her perspective and broaden her horizons. In Spring 2024, Cassandra will be graduating with a M.S. in Leadership and a certificate in nonprofit organizations. She hopes to leverage her diverse skill set to lead with compassion and drive positive change both in the military and beyond.
