Abstract
A majority of New Hampshire residents approve of Governor Kelly Ayotte's performance, with her handling of education cited most often by her supporters and detractors. Residents are divided on whether she deserves to be reelected, but potential challengers Tom Sherman and Jon Kiper are not well-known in the state. State residents are divided in their opinions of Democratic Congressman Chris Pappas, who is running for U.S. Senate in 2026. Potential Republican challenger Scott Brown is even less popular in New Hampshire. In the race for the open seat from New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District, Stefany Shaheen is the most well-known among three declared Democratic candidates. In the 2nd District, less than one-third of residents believe incumbent Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander deserves reelection and potential Republican challenger Lily Tang Williams has similar popularity in the district.
