Abstract

One-third of Vermont residents say housing is the most important problem facing the state and a majority support extending emergency housing for the homeless in motels. On other issues, majorities support raising the marriage age to 18 and making at least 10% of new recreational trails accessible to the disabled. Residents are divided over banning recreational trapping except in specific circumstances. Governor Scott's approval rating has fallen since November, particularly among Republicans, though he remains a popular governor.
