Abstract

Most New Hampshire residents will celebrate Thanksgiving with only their own household. Granite Staters have similar plans for the upcoming holiday season, but relatively few are experiencing a significant amount of stress about the holidays. A troubling sign for local retailers is that very few expect to do most of their holiday shopping in-person. Among the three-quarters who plan to put up a Christmas tree, a slight majority plan to have an artificial tree. Real trees have become less popular among Granite Staters since 2001.
