Abstract

Former Governor Jeanne Shaheen has seen her once comfortable lead over incumbent Republican John Sununu shrink in recent months in the race for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. In the 1st District, incumbent Carol Shea-Porter trails former Congressman Jeb Bradley but leads the other Republican challenger, John Stephen. Second District incumbent Paul Hodes continues to hold comfortable leads over his Republican challengers. But it is still early in the campaign and almost three-quarters of voters say they are still trying to decide who to vote for.
