Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test: Youth Research Version
The MSCEIT-YRV is deisgned to assess emotional intelligence among pre-adolescents and adolescents. Specifically, it measures the capacity to reason using feelings and to enhance thought with feelings. In contrast to a self-report of one's emotional skills, the MSCEIT-YRV is a performance-based scale that measures how well a youth performs tasks and solves emotional problems. As a performance-based scale, the MSCEIT-YRV provides measureable results that can be used to predict various outcomes.
