Abstract

This issue of UNH Participatory Science news includes a story about a UNH alum, Catherine Coverdale '21, G'23 who learned how to work with local farmers and develop community-building expertise through opportunities during her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of New Hampshire. Now, she's putting that knowledge to work in her role as Pollinator Conservation and Integrated Pest Management Specialist with the Xerxes Society. The issue includes information about two new NH Sea Grant graduate assistant positions available that include participatory science research methods and practices. The issue advertizes a new session of Citizen and Community Science: Designing Projects for Research and Engagement, an online course offered at UNH aimed at participatory science researchers and other professionals. And finally this issue outlines a volunteer opportunities for the American Geophysical Union's Thriving Earth Exchange Community Science Fellows program.
