Photograph of the Bibi-Khanym mosque ruins in Samarkand, taken by Lotte Jacobi in Uzbekistan, Central Asia, ca. 1932-1933. Benches are situated in an open area covered in a light layer of snow in front of a ruin of the Bibi-Khanym mosque. The brick walls of the building have begun to crumble in places, and intricate tilework is visible on one side of the building.
