Photograph of a man, Ghdehi-Abdul-Chlill Urunow, grave caretaker for mongolsk stor-khan Timur Lenk (Tamerlane) (1336-1405), taken by Lotte Jacobi in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Central Asia, December 7, 1932. A man in patterned robes and a turban is standing outside a doorway holding an ornate piece of cloth. Tiles and plaster have fallen off the exterior of the building behind him, exposing the brick underneath.
