Abstract
4-H uses the “Experiential Learning Model” as a way to create high quality youth programs. This model, commonly known as “Do-Reflect-Apply” focuses not only on the particular 4-H experience, but also how youth are interpreting their learning, and if they can apply it to real world scenarios. In the context of the showring, the goal is for youth to dive into their animal projects and learn about industry standards with agriculture, while also developing into capable young adults.
