Description
A music manuscript folio with the notation and lyrics for the songs "Fly Hornpipe", "Boston Assembly", and "Washington Crossing the Delaware" on the front. The inner pages contain notation for the songs; "Duchess of Gordon's Minuet", "Every Man in his Humour", "The Comical Fancy", "The Labyrinth", "A New Minuet", and "Norland Jockey". The back page contains notation for the songs "Miss Murray's Minuet", "Miss Rodger's Minuet", and The Hyp. Doctor". Sources are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; ^"Fly Hornpipe" is in E major and 2/4 time; "Boston Assembly" is in A major and 6/8 time; "Washinton Crossing the Delaware" is in G major and 4/4 time; "Duchess of Gordon's Minuet" is in E-flat major and 3/4 time; "Every Man in his Humour" is in A major and 6/8 time; "The Comical Fancy" is in A major and 2/4 time; "The Labyrinth" is in G minor and 6/8 time; "A New Minuet" is in G major and 3/4 time; "Norland Jockey" is in F major and 4/4 time; "Miss Murray's Minuet" is in G minor and 3/4 time; "Miss Rodger's Minuet" is in E-flat major and 3/4 time; "The Hyp. Doctor" is in E minor and 9/8 time.
