Description
A music manuscript folio with the notation for the songs "Blew Cappe", "The Lass o' Glasgow", "Sukey's Favorite", and "Yorkshire Lass" on the front. The inner pages contain notation for the songs; "A New Minuet", "Jovial Tars", two songs called "A Minuet", and "Litchfield Races". The back page has notation for a second song called "A New Minuet", a third song called "A Minuet", and "Willingham Frolick". Sources are listed on the manuscript. Part of the collection of songs and dances from the 17th and 18th centuries gathered by Bessie Osgood; ^"Blew Cappe" is in C major and 4/4 time; "The Lass o' Glasgow" is in d major and 4/4 time; "Sukey's Favorite" is in F major and 2/4 time; "Yorkshire Lass" is in D major and 2/2 time; "A New Minuet" is in A major and 3/4 time; "Jovial Tars" is in F major and 6/8 time; the first "A Minuet" is in F major and 3/4 time; the second "A Minuet" is in D major and 3/4 time; "Litchfield Races" is in G major and 6/8 time; the second "A New Minuet" is in G major and 3/4 time; the third "A Minuet" is in D major and 3/4 time; "Willingham Frolick" is in A major and 12/8 time.
