Description

1920s. Dress shoes. White silk satin evening shoes with a medium-length vamp (toe) coming to a pointed narrow oval toe and joining the quarters (backs) with a diagonal side seam. The quarters are sewn together at center back. A button strap with one domed button latches each shoe. All edges are bound with twill tape. The sole is leather with a knock-on kidskin-covered Opera heel. Stamped on the insole in gold with the maker's label. Professionally made. Machine-sewn.
