Abstract

"Reimagining student aid delivery and design" is a podcast interview with Kristen Conklin, founding partner with HCM Strategists and a key contributor to the American Dream Coalition 2.0. Conklin discusses the recommendations of the American Dream Coalition 2.0 report and Doing Better for More Students, which highlights suggestions for financial aid reform to address the issue of college completion. Conklin advocates for a single grant/single loan/single tax credit model to help Americans access and best utilize financial aid for college completion. Additional suggestions include raising the floor from 12 to 15 credits for full-time student status. Conklin distinguishes opportunities for the federal and state governments to simplify financial aid and better prepare students for college.

Interview facilitation, commentary and discussion presented by Kathryn Dodge, Alison Griffin, and Elise Scanlon of Radio Higher Ed.
