Abstract
“A finer point with Brandon Busteed: Gallup-Purdue Index challenges higher ed return on investment debate” is a brief podcast interview with Brandon Busteed, Executive Director of Gallup Education. Busteed discusses the impact of the Gallup-Purdue Index and how it can both help and challenge institutions of higher education reframing the return on investment (ROI) debate. The Gallup-Purdue Index surveys more than 30,000 college graduates to help better understand what matters in college that impacts life beyond college. The Index looks specifically at two variables: degree to which college graduates are engaged in their work and thriving in their well-being. These two variables are well-documented as being predictive of such things as healthcare costs and work productivity.
