Abstract

These tables, prepared by Research Development Office staff, allows for easy comparison of NIH funding mechanisms for projects [R01, R03, R15, R21, R34] as well as Investigator and Common Fund initiatives [Outstanding Investigator/Maximizing Investigator's Research Award (R35), NIH Director’s Pioneer Award (DP1), NIH Director’s New Innovator Award (DP2), Transformative Research Award, Early Independence Award (DP5), and Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00)].

Characteristics of the mechanisms are presented side-by-side, including allowed project types, award duration and amount, eligibility requirements, restrictions, participating institutes and centers (ICs), program page links, etc.
